"Back in Her Court"

Sandra Day O'Connor, a former Supreme Court Justice, has started a new website called "Our Courts".  "Our Courts" is a free, interactive, web-based program designed to teach students civics and inspire them to be participants in the US democracy system.  O'Connor felt that students were not well versed in civics including the roles and operations of the three braches if US government and decided to create a way to increase knowledge in this area in a fun and entertaining way.

The site provides suggested materials and curriculum for civics teachers and will soon include interactive games and virtual-world activites activites for students. To check out the "Our Courts" website, go to:  www.ourcourts.org
