In what many saw as a changing of the guard in women's basketball, the record-setting University of Connecticut Huskies were beaten by Notre Dame 72-63 in the national semifinals on Sunday night. The game represented the final collegiate game for Maya Moore who made history by winning the Wade Trophy three times during her storied career.
Earlier in the evening, Texas A&M beat heavily-favored Stanford 63-62 to reach the finals against Notre Dame. Texas A&M beat two #1 seeds back-to-back, Tennessee and Stanford, to reach the finals.
