2008 Induction Ceremony for the International Women's Sports Hall of Fame

Billie Jean King and the 130 members of the International Women’s Sports Hall of Fame will be joined by four (4) new members during the 2008 induction ceremony at the Hall of Fame’s new, permanent home in the Billie Jean King International Women’s Sports Center. The Center is located in the Sports Museum of America in downtown Manhattan.

 

The Induction Ceremony is on Monday, June 9. It will be hosted by Billie Jean King and Sheila C. Johnson.  The 2008 inductees are Olympic long-distance runner Hassiba Boulmerka, LPGA champion golfer Hisako Higuchi, Olympic gold-medal-winning gymnast Shannon Miller and collegiate softball coaching great Sue Enquist.
